About us

The Centre de Preuves en Dermatologie (Centre de Preuves en Dermatologie) was established in april 2015.

It is the result of an agreement signed between the Collège des Enseignants en Dermatologie de France (CEDEF) (french teachers college in Dermatology), the Fédération Française de Formation Continue et d’Evaluation en Dermatologie-Vénéréologie (FFFCEDV) (French Federation of Continuing medical Education in Dermato-Venereology), the Société Française de Dermatologie (SFD) (Société Française de Dermatologie) and the Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS) (French High Autority of Health).

The mission of the Centre de Preuves en Dermatologie is to provide assistance in decision-making in Dermatology by conducting synthetic analyses of the literature and recommendations.

Updating the recommendations for acne management established by the Agence Française de Sécurité Sanitaire des Produits de Santé (AFFSAPS) in 2007 was the first initiative of this new structure. The HAS awarded this work with its label for methodology.

The centre has set itself two challenges: to regularly update data and to make information available in a form that is useful in everyday practice and is readily and easily accessible.

Data on the treatment of acne and hidradenitis suppurativa are made available here in the form of an interactive algorithm that allows users to quickly access concise data but also, if necessary, more in-depth information. This information is accessible by computer, tablet or smartphone.
