Objective

The objective of this work was to synthesize and update European recommendations, with the agreement of the EDF (European Dermatology Forum), and to adapt their content to the context of the French healthcare system in order to increase their practicality. A literature review was conducted to prepare these recommendations. A simple decision-making algorithm was developed to synthesize this work.

Scope of the French recommendations: Established atopic dermatitis and its management. The issue of primary prevention, which is partially addressed in the European guidelines, is not addressed in these French guidelines.

Patients concerned by these guidelines

These guidelines concern adults, children, and parents of children with atopic dermatitis.

Healthcare professionals concerned

Dermatologists, allergists, pediatricians, immunologists, general practitioners, pharmacists, occupational physicians, and paramedical staff

Working group

A working group has been established.
It includes:

Steering Committee:

The chair coordinated the group's work; the project manager identified, selected, and coordinated the drafting of the rationale. The drafting of the scientific rationale was based on the critical analysis and synthesis of the literature by all members of the working group.
