Treatment in Case of Recurrence

After confirming the failure and analyzing the conditions of failure (recontamination, poor adherence, local treatment intolerance, inadequate decontamination of clothing and bedding, no simultaneous treatment of contacts…):

Therapeutic Proposal

or Permethrin 5% Topical Apply on Day 1 and repeat between Day 8 and Day 14.
10% Benzyl Benzoate Apply on Day 1 and repeat between Day 8 and Day 14.
Oral Ivermectin 200µg/kg off-label Doses on Day 1 and between Day 8 and Day 14
Especially if doubts about adherence or poor skin condition of the child or clustered cases (infectious advice required if staying in a tropical area exposing to the risk of loiasis).
